South Woodham Ferrers Yacht Club have very kindly invited us to join them next Saturday 6th July for a BBQ and a “Mamma Mia” night.

They have suggested dinghies could sail up on the tide (HW is 1600) and then sail back on the falling tide after the BBQ. They can arrange boat parking on their hard.

Unfortunately there is nowhere for yachts to moor up.

Alternatively, you could drive over there to join them.

The BBQ is free to BSC members wishing to go.

If you would like to attend, please let me know by Wednesday 3rd July so I can give them numbers.

New boats!

Today was a very exciting day at the club – we had six shiny new Optimists arrive for our juniors to use 🤩🤩🤩

We would like to say an enormous thank you to those who sponsored us and helped us get to this point – Allen Brothers, Rannoch Adventure, G&B Finch, Harvey Smith & Co, the Town Council and one more ‘potential’ sponsor (just not yet confirmed!).

Our club boats were kindly sponsored over 30 years ago by local companies and have been used for many, many children first learning to sail so it’s lovely that our community has supported the children again. Hopefully these boats will last just as long!

So thank you, thank you, thank you! 😃

The boats will be ‘officially’ launched next Friday (more details to follow)
