IMPORTANT – FRIDAY NIGHT TRAINING!!!!
All children have now been assigned a group for Friday night training. If you are unsure which group you are in, please come and see Fiona tomorrow to find out.
The timings for briefing / launching were in the letters given out at the welcome meeting but to reiterate these are as follows:
Beginners – Briefing 5.15pm, launching 5.30pm, finish 7pm
Intermediate – Briefing 5.30pm, launch 5.45pm, finish 7.30pm
Race – Briefing 5.45pm, launch 6pm, finish 8pm
These timings need to be adhered to so that you get the maximum time possible out on the water.
ESCORTING CHILDREN FROM RCYC
There are a few children wanting escorting between the two clubs. We are happy to provide a safety boat to do this, however this needs to be done with minimal disruption to training.
You MUST email myself on firstname.lastname@example.org, or post on our Facebook page to let us know you require an escort by 3pm at the latest on that Friday.
If we are aware a child is needing a safety escort, a boat will be at the RCYC at 5.15pm. Unfortunately we cannot wait for anyone not ready to launch and sail at that time.
On arriving at the BSC, you will need to moor up, tally on and attend your briefing.
Please make it known to whomever is on ‘beach’ (normally Fiona or Di) if you require escorting back to the RCYC after training.
Children will be escorted back shortly before training ends, missing the debrief. You will be tallyed off by the safety boat that escorts you back.
Parents will need to make sure that they are at the RCYC ready to collect their child.
I hope that’s all clear! Any questions, just ask one of the Junior Coordinators – Fiona, Marcus, James or Liam.
