Jimmy Starling

Description:
The Jimmy Starling Trophy

The Jimmy Starling Trophy is one of the most historic and keenly contested events in the Squib keelboat class. First awarded in 1958, it commemorates Jimmy Starling, a young apprentice boat-builder at Tucker Brown, who was tragically lost overboard during Burnham Week in 1957.

Today, the trophy is still raced for with passion and skill, with Squibs competing in a thrilling series of races on the River Crouch.
